Dear San Pasqual Valley Unified School District Parent,

This letter is to inform you that last night the District was notified by Imperial County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) that threats were made on social media. Subsequently, our administrative staff and School Resource Officer assisted in the investigation conducted by ICSO and determined that it was not an immediate threat.  This morning ICSO and the appropriate District staff were on hand and able to detain the students associated with the threatening statements.  The Quechan Police Department was also notified and was in the school area as a precaution.

I wish to assure you that I and all school and District staff members place the safety of your children as our first priority. To assist us in maintaining a safe school environment, we ask that all parents and guardians report any suspicious activity on, around, or related to our District to our school offices or the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.

Thank you for your continued support of our schools.  If you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please call us at (760) 572-0222.
