Re:  Social Media Threat on November 7, 2019

This morning at about 7:50 am the high school principal was notified, by concerned parents, about a possible threat on social media.  We immediately notified law enforcement and initiated emergency safety procedures at all sites.  At approximately 8:00 am we notified parents via social media and parent link that there had been a report and that all students were safe.  We notified parents and staff that law enforcement was already on scene and conducting an investigation.

At approximately 8:25 am we were notified by law enforcement that the threat was NOT viable and that they were now handling the investigation and dealing with the individuals involved.   We immediately notified parents and lifted the safety protocol at each site.

We want to thank the concerned parents who reported the post to administration and encourage all parents who see a suspicious post to report it immediately to law enforcement.  Immediate notification of suspicious post will allow law enforcement to resolve the issue sooner.

Again know that all students are safe and the District has protocols in place to ensure their safety at all times.
