Debbie Gibbs, our longtime teacher, mentor, and friend, has announced her retirement on December 1, 2019. Mrs. Gibbs’ smile and warm spirit will be missed in this District.  Her knowledge and expertise in the area of curriculum and instruction has been a gift to many teachers and students here at San Pasqual.  San Pasqual Valley Unified School District Board, Administration, staff, and students would like to extend our thanks to Mrs. Gibbs for her dedication, love, and unwavering faith in our students over the last 39 years.

Mrs. Gibbs wanted to share the following thoughts:

“I came to San Pasqual almost 39 years ago to teach, and I had the opportunity to do that at San Pasqual Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, as well as at Adult Education and Bill M. Manes High School.  I had the great fortune to create the middle school and to create the current Bill Manes program that led to it becoming an accredited high school.

In addition, I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work in a variety of other capacities such as staff developer, teacher coach, and administrator.  I will greatly miss my co-workers and especially miss my students.  It was a great joy to watch generations of students learn, grow, and become productive members in the community.

I would like to thank everyone for the support I have received over the years.  I will treasure my time at San Pasqual as I move into the next part of my journey.

God’s blessings,

Debbie Gibbs  “
